Religion: what is your view?

According to Carl Max, " Religion is the opiate of the masses". People tend to drift from "thinking man" to "Sinking man". Religious inclinations holds some keys to societal backwardness.

Religion is to be likened to an incarcerated brain, and a dependent thought process.
