The South African Male National team, Bafana Bafana, brought the AFCON defending Champions to the end of their Equatorial Guinea AFCON dream as promised. The Super Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw in their home soil, making Congo qualify in their stead. The defending Champions would not be in Equatorial Guinea to even defend their tittle.
