CONDOLENCES: TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR SENZO MEYIWA

Messages of condolence continued to flood in on Monday following the killing of Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa.

The rising national team captain was shot dead on Sunday while trying to protect his girlfriend in a reported housebreak and robbery. Pirates confirmed the news in a statement released earlier on Monday.

The Orlando Pirates Football Club ?family has learned with sadness about the untimely death of our number one goalkeeper and current captain Senzo Meyiwa.

“This is a sad loss whichever way you look at it - to Senzo’s family, to his extended family, to Orlando Pirates and to the nation”, commented club chairman Dr Khoza.

This statement is being issued whilst Orlando Pirates officials ?are up and about dealing with matters that arise when such untimely and unsettling news is received.
